Visual Work
Dec. 2023 - Podcast Production, Why We Wear
Why We Wear , episode 1 was a project I submitted for an introductory podcasting class I took in Fall 2023 at UVA. I gathered the songs and other sound bites from various websites, recorded the interview in a UVA podcasting studio, and edited/spliced it together on Hindenburg Pro.
Jan. 2023 - Logo design, Festejos Event Co.
This logo was made for my family’s event decor and venue business. Made in Adobe Illustrator.
May 2024 - Magazine design, PRIDE
The final project for a history class I took my last semester at UVA called Black Fire was to create an issue of PRIDE magazine, a decades-old magazine promoting Black culture and interests at the University. Within my project group, I was in charge of designing the magazine cover and layout. This cover was made in Adobe Photoshop. The image is from the Library of Congress online archives.
Dec. 2024 - Ad mockup - De La Calle Cocteles
This graphic was made for fun in my free time; inspired by a project announced by De La Calle in 2022/2023 that has since not been updated or launched. The individual graphic elements were gathered from Adobe Stock, other than the can, which I made in Adobe Illustrator based on the existing De La Calle can design, and the graphic was all put together and edited in Adobe Photoshop.
Aug. 2023 - Painting, Bar Cart Decor
This piece was made for my college apartment, which I shared with 3 other roommates. With their input, and inspiration from Pinterest I made this - individual guest checks glued to a canvas and the phrase written with acrylic paint.
April 2023 - Embroidery project, Threaded Place
Embroidery has been a long time hobby of mine, passed down from my mom and aunt. The two pieces in the photo are my latest works. The one on the left portrays geographic locations that are significant to my life. The piece on the right (still in progress) is a stamp symbolizing a place special to a friend of mine.
Jan. 2025 - Logo design, Romero’s Tree Service
This logo was made for a small business in the Richmond, VA area. Done in a transparent format to use on the website and physical marketing materials.
